Westchester man helps save elderly couple after fiery crash

A Westchester man helped save an elderly couple Sunday afternoon after they were involved in a fiery crash on Route 17 in Goshen.
"It was like something you would see in a movie, it was horrible,” says White Plains business owner Nick Delury.
New York State Police confirm the couple’s Subaru blew a tire, causing it to become pinned under a tanker truck.
Despite a cloud of black smoke and flames, Delury risked his life to rescue a woman through the window in the passenger seat. He says the male driver was more difficult to rescue.
"The steering wheel was crushed on him and the roof had collapsed in on him and the door. And the tires were right under on the side and the flames were just raging,” he says.
Two men joined the effort, breaking a back window to pull the driver out.
Delury says he finds comfort knowing the crash victims made it out alive.
"I would love to hug those people again, that couple, and just know that they are all right,” he says.
