Bridgeport man accused of operating a drug factory near school

A Bridgeport man is charged with dealing drugs and operating a drug factory in his home near a school.

Stratford police say 25-year-old Anthony Velez sold drugs at various locations in Stratford.
Velez was taken into custody Wednesday at his home in Bridgeport after months of investigating.
Police say they seized heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana and illegal prescription pills. They also seized $15,000 in cash at his home.
Velez lives and was operating his alleged drug factory a few yards away from Bullard Havens Technical School.  Neighbors say there are young children living in his building.

Velez is being held on a $750,000 bond and is due back in court next week.
