Polls reporting decent voter turnout

DOBBS FERRY -

From Yonkers to New Castle, Election Day 2017 is here, and voters are coming out in good number.

Board of Elections officials says it's still too early to know what overall turnout will be, but they don't think it will be as high as a general election year. However, they do say there's high interest county wide in this election  because of the hotly contested Westchester County executive's race.

There are also a number of statewide ballot questions voters will get to decide. The one drawing the most attention is should voters have the right to overhaul the state constitution.

Voters tell News 12 that the environment, immigration, and taxes are also big issues that are bringing them to the polls.

Polls close at 9:00 p.m.
