A man from Bridgeport faces up to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to possession of a firearm.
Robert Bowens, 34, was pulled over by troopers in April on I-95.
Bowens attempted to get away from troopers by pulling a nine millimeter handgun on them.
He took off in an SUV, but was arrested by police in May.
According to police, Bowens has a long history of gun-related convictions and is believed to be a former gang leader who wreaked havoc on the city's West Side over a decade ago.
He is scheduled for sentencing in January.
