Cheddar Weekend Business Report for 11/11: Tesla, Microsoft

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK -

Topping business news this week, there is some worry on Wall Street about possible plans to delay tax cuts for businesses until 2019.

Meanwhile, Tesla is expected to show off its new semi-truck on Thursday. CEO Elon Musk tweeted, "It's worth seeing this beast in person."

And Microsoft has become a leader in training veterans and active-duty service members for the IT industry with its Microsoft Software and Systems Academy.

Chris Cortez, vice president of military affairs at Microsoft, says preparing service members for the digital economy helps them transition to life after the military and that their skills are well-suited for the industry. He says about 200,000 veterans will enter civilian workforce each year for the next five years.
