Boy finds, returns cash-filled wallet to attack victim

A Hudson Valley boy is getting major kudos for returning a cash-filled wallet to a man who had lost it during a mugging.
Frankie Burns, of Washingtonville, found the wallet in the Bronx last Saturday while playing Gaelic football with his team.
The 8-year-old handed over the wallet, which contained $1,700, to his dad to help him track down the owner.
The boy’s father, Frank Burns Sr., tracked down the owner with an ID and dentist card found inside.
Patrick Carroll, who lives in Yonkers, lost the wallet and his all his rent money. He told News 12 by phone that he was attacked a few blocks away from the park earlier this month. He doesn't remember much about what happened other than that he ran and lost his wallet while trying to get away.
Carroll gave Frankie $100, and a big thanks, for being so honest.
