The fifth annual Turkey Giveaway at the Kings Church of Christ this year is helping more families than ever before.

Church officials say they will be able to give more than 700 families in need turkeys at their Rogers Avenue location and their new location in Brownsville near Rockaway Avenue. 

Families lining the streets Saturday said they are grateful for the helping hand. 

"It's going to help me out a lot," said Marc Clergeau. "I am going to give it to a lady that doesn't have anything for Thanksgiving to eat."

Event organizers say the church has big plans to continue serving even more in the community for years to come.
