Charges against a Jersey City woman have been upgraded after the man she’s accused of stabbing died from his injuries, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office announced Monday.
Prosecutors said Lateefa Rabb, 34, attacked Carl Salisbury, 57, on Oct. 20 in an apartment on Academy Street in Jersey City.
Salisbury died Nov. 4 at Jersey City Medical Center from injuries sustained during the knife attack, the prosecutor’s office said.
Rabb was arrested Oct. 30 and faces multiple charges, including first degree murder and possession of a weapon. She has been held at the Hudson County Correctional facility in Kearny since her arrest.
