NEWBURGH -

Police in the Town of Newburgh say a second person has died following the house fire Friday that also killed a young child.

The victim's identity has not been released. Police would only say that a female was killed.

As News 12 has reported, a 2-year-old was killed in the fire.

Chopper 12 was over the scene of the burning house on Coach Lane in the Meadow Hill section of Newburgh.  About a dozen people were in the home at the time.

One neighbor says he ran into the house to help rescue a man trapped by a storm window.

The cause of the fire is unclear.
