Teen faces felony charges for fake bomb threat at Ramapo H.S.
Posted: Updated:A teenager was charged with two felonies after allegedly calling in a fake bomb threat against Ramapo High School Friday morning.
Ramapo police says Glen Tyrese Edwards, 17, called in the prank threat to 911, forcing the school to go on lockdown.
Kids were asked to stay in their classrooms as police and bomb sniffing dogs came to investigate. It was ruled a fake threat within minutes of their arrival.
A few hours earlier, a bomb threat was found written on a black board at nearby Spring Valley High School. Students were evacuated until police cleared the building.
News 12 was told detectives are questioning several students.
Edwards was charged with falsely reporting an incident and making terroristic threats. He is being held in Rockland County Jail on $2,500 bail.
