Police: New Rochelle Dunkin’ Donuts robbery may be linked to other robberies

NEW ROCHELLE -

A man waving a gun robbed a Dunkin’ Donuts in New Rochelle this morning, according to police.

Investigators say the suspect entered the 24-hour store on Main Street around 4:15 a.m., bought a doughnut, then pulled out what is described as a black handgun and demanded that workers open the cash register. They say the suspect went behind the counter, took an unknown amount of cash, and ran off.

There are no reports of any injuries.

The suspect is described as around 5 feet 10 inches and was wearing a dark grey hoodie and sweatpants. His face was covered by a surgical mask.

The description and circumstances are very similar to two gas station robberies that both happened last Tuesday morning in North Castle and Port Chester. Police tell News 12 they are checking to see if there is a connection between the robberies.
