Montrose woman accused of sex trafficking a minorPosted: Updated:
It was a joint effort between federal prosecutors, the FBI and the Putnam County Sheriff that lead to the arrest of a woman accused of sex trafficking a teen.
Prosecutors say Jennifer Coviello, 43, posted online advertisements to solicit prostitution customers for herself and the underage girl. For about a week she operated out of a motel in Brewster, that was not named in the complaint.
She's also accused of introducing the minor to illegal drugs, including heroin, to foster a dependency.
Coviello faces a minimum sentence of 10 years and a maximum of life in prison if convicted.
