WHITE PLAINS -

A White Plains-based beer company wants to make sure you get home safe this New Year's Eve.

For the 14th year in a row, Heineken USA will provide free rides home from downtown White Plains to anywhere across Westchester County.

The Safe Rides transportation stand will be on the corner of East Post Road and Mamaroneck Avenue between 11 p.m. on Dec. 31 and 3 a.m. on Jan. 1.

You have to be 21 or older to get a free ride.

Officials say the program has provided free and safe rides home to an estimated 5,000 people since its inception.
