Volunteers in Rockland County gave back to an Army veteran by renovating his home in Congers.
Nearly 30 volunteers fixed up the South Rockland Avenue home of Richard Gaglione. They renovated his bathroom, painted and installed a new hot water heater.
Gaglione, who served from 1963 to 1965, applied for a grant through the Home Depot Veterans Project. He was awarded a budget of nearly $10,000.
"It's all about our core values of giving back to our community," says Ron Brooks, of the Home Depot Veterans Project.
Home Depot says it does projects like this not just for veterans, but for others in the community as well.
