ELLENVILLE -

A day after an Ellenville village trustee killed himself and two other people, the community is coping with the tragedy.

Mayor Jeff Kaplan says he's in shock.

Kaplan says the village is offering counseling to employees and community members. The school district also has grief counselors on hand for students and staff. Lopez had also worked in the school district for more than three decades.
