Woman accused of abandoning dogs faces charges

A woman accused of abandoning a dozen dogs in Paterson last week is facing animal cruelty charges.
Vivian Dominguez is facing 24 animal cruelty charges after she allegedly left the dogs inside an apartment building. The dogs were found emaciated and with matted fur.
Police charged Dominguez with 12 civil and 12 criminal counts of animal cruelty. She is expected back in court in February.
The dogs are being cared for and will be put up for adoption.
