Pedestrian seriously injured after being struck twice in East Patchogue

<p>The incident happened just after 9 p.m. on the eastbound side of Sunrise Highway just east of Route 112 in East Patchogue.</p>

Pedestrian seriously injured after being struck twice in East Patchogue
Police say a man was seriously injured after being hit by two vehicles in East Patchogue.
According to police, a man was driving eastbound on Sunrise Highway just east of Route 112, when his van and another vehicle struck a pedestrian who was on the main highway at 9 p.m.
The pedestrian, identified as Juan Reyes, 58, of Patchogue, was transported to the hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
The driver of the van remained at the scene and was not injured. The second vehicle to hit the pedestrian fled the scene.
