With Saturday marking one year since President Donald Trump was inaugurated, News 12 asked residents how they the political newcomer is handling the office.
Critics of the reality show host turned politician say President Trump hasn't performed well as commander-in-chief.
"He's the worst thing that's ever happened to this country," said Steve Clark, of Campbell Hall. "He operates through chaos and he's an egomaniac. He's got serious problems."
"I think he doesn't have any idea how to run a country. He's running it like a business and he has no diplomatic interest in what's happening," says Nancy Jones, of Middletown.
Even with a booming economy and record-low unemployment rates, the Trump administration has been marred by allegations of sexual misconduct, discrimination and racism. The looming probe into Russian meddling into the 2016 election and possible ties to the Trump campaign have also been muddied the waters.
While Trump scrutiny may be at an all-time high, whether or not voters still have hope for his remaining time in office remains unclear.
"There's certain things he said he'd do and he's…trying to get things done," says Margaret Conklin, of Middletown.
She told News 12 that she wouldn't vote Trump again in 2020.
