Malverne Mel, Holtsville Hal split on Groundhog Day forecast
Will we get six more weeks of this snow or see an early spring?

Long Island's four-footed forecasters predicted both six more weeks of winter and an early spring this Groundhog Day!
Poll: Groundhog Day

This year, Malverne Mel did see his shadow, which means six more weeks of winter. Meanwhile, Holtsville Hal did not see his shadow, which means an early spring.
Pennsylvania’s Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow as well. Only time will tell which prediction is accurate.
