Prosecutors say three more inmates serving sentences for child pornography stand accused of using contraband cellphones and removable storage cards to share child pornography inside the prison.
The inmates were identified as William Noble, 52, Charles Bush, 38 and Jacob Good, 31. All are currently incarcerated at Fort Dix Federal Prison.
Noble and Bush face charges of conspiracy, distributing and possessing child porn on federal property. Good faces counts of possessing child pornography on federal property and accessing with intent to view.
Prosecutors say that Monday’s arrests stem from a long-term investigation that led to similar charges against five other Fort Dix inmates last April.
Authorities have said inmates were involved in the sales of the removable storage cards that included videos involving children as young as infants and toddlers and depictions of child sexual abuse.
The Associated Press wire services contributed to this report.
