Port Chester votes down $12.5M bond

PORT CHESTER -

Residents voted down a $12.5 million bond proposal in Port Chester on Monday.

The final tally was 993 to 940.

The money would have been used to repair and upgrade the Port Chester Middle School.

Last October, a concrete panel collapsed at the school, forcing it to close for several days.

It is unknown yet what will happen next to the school.
