3 arrested after cross-county chase, Farmingdale HS lockdown

A robbery and ensuing cross-county police chase resulted in the arrest of three Brooklyn teenagers and a temporary lockdown at Farmingdale High School.
The incident began at 11:30 a.m. Monday after a food delivery driver from Jackie Chan's Chinese Restaurant was making a delivery to a home on Westchester Avenue in West Babylon. Authorities say the three teens attacked the driver and made off with his cash, cellphone and car.
The car then crashed on the Southern State Parkway and the alleged robbers fled on foot. Police say the three teens – Kamondre Dekattu, Marlon Rigueur and Andrew Dakota – were arrested a short time later after trying to escape through backyards near Farmingdale High School. They each face robbery charges.
The robbery is similar to a recent car theft in Cedarhurst in which a food delivery driver's vehicle was stolen while he was on the job. Suffolk police haven't connected Monday's robbery to the car theft in Nassau County.
They say the investigation into the case is ongoing.
