There is a push to make sure a home in Ossining continues to live long and prosper.
Filmmaker Greg Mallozzi claims mysterious scientist Dr. Andrija Puharich lived at the soon-too-be demolished at 87 Hawkes Ave. in the 1970s.
Puharich claimed he spoke with extraterrestrials and was an early inspiration for the "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" series. "Star Trek" creator Gene Roddenberry reportedly also spent time in the home.
Mallozzi says he feels like the home is a piece of history and that the Village of Ossining should keep it as a landmark.
Residents living across the street from the property say they fought to keep the house from being demolished for nearly two years, not even knowing the history behind it, but because they don't want the new buildings on an already busy street.
