He is now on a ventilator, fighting pneumonia and an infection, according to those close to the 19-year-old.
The Clarkstown North graduate was on dialysis with serious kidney and lung complications after contracting the flu.
Since his hospitalization, the community has raised tens of thousands of dollars to help pay for his care.
