North Bergen police have issued an arrest warrant for a man accused of punching a dog in the nose.

Police say that pit bull “Blue” and his owner were walking in town on March 16 when the suspect approached them, looking like he wanted to pet the dog.

Police say that the suspect instead punched the dog in the nose and ran away.

Detectives have identified the suspect and have issued a warrant for his arrest.
