Ramapo police made their second wild animal rescue of the week.

An officer helped save a Cooper hawk that was in distress. The officer was able to get the hawk into a box, and it was brought to an animal hospital.

This rescue comes only days after the Ramapo Police Department helped an injured swan get to safety.

Officials say the swan had a broken leg after possibly getting hit by a car.
