Police: Armed suspects robbed CVS, tied up employees

Three masked men armed with guns robbed a CVS in Port Jefferson Station early Tuesday morning.
The suspects tied up a female employee and ordered two other workers to open the cash register and the storage unit for drugs, police say.
Authorities say the masked trio were able to flee with a significant amount of narcotics and money from the store on Nesconset Highway at 3:40 a.m.
Suffolk police say they have reviewed surveillance video from the robbery. They say the suspects appear to be the same ones involved in similar robberies in Nassau, Queens and New Jersey.
Suffolk police say they are not sure if a car they chased from Port Jefferson Station to Nassau after the robbery was the getaway car used by the suspects. They say they received a 911 call about a speeding car at about the same time as the incident. Police say they are trying to determine if the two incidents are connected.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about this case to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
