State tests begin at some Long Island school districts

State tests began Tuesday in school districts across Long Island.
"Common Core" is now called "Next Generation Learning Standards."
This year the number of students taking the English and math tests on a computer instead of paper is five times higher.
The tests now have less questions and are only given on two consecutive days, not three.
Students also have unlimited time to complete the exam.
The changes were made following concerns and complaints from parents and educators about Common Core.
