Rye Playland hosts annual walk for pancreatic cancer research

Despite the cold weather, people flocked to Rye Playland for the annual Lustgarten Foundation Walk.
The annual walk is held for pancreatic cancer research. The foundation holds a total of 40 walks throughout the country every year.
Walkers raised $250,000 before the event even began.
The founder of the walk says the cold couldn't stop people from coming out to support the cause.
"We are here to make a difference and create hope," said Tara Shanes-Hernandez. "No matter the weather, we will be here and we will make a difference."
This is the ninth year of the walk and so far they have raised $154 million for pancreatic cancer research.
