Parkways reopen after flooding

The Hudson Valley is finally drying out after yesterday’s storms.

Torrential rain forced the closure of many of the area’s parkways yesterday.

There were a few trouble spots and closures even today, but many of those reopened, including the Hutchinson River Parkway in Mount Vernon and the eastbound ramp from the Cross County Parkway to the Hutchinson River Parkway southbound.

The eastbound lane on Route 59 in Clarkstown has also reopened.
