The Hempstead School District has passed a questionable budget proposal totaling more than $215 million.
   
The Hempstead Board of Education held a special meeting last night to review the proposed 2018-2019 spending plan. It passed in a 4 to 0 vote.

However, some critics say there are too many unanswered questions on everything from personnel,  to supplies, and security costs.

The budget is not expected to increase taxes for homeowners.
