A man who wounded two officers during a bank robbery was sentenced Wednesday to 76 years in prison.
Jason Polanco was convicted last month of assault, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
Authorities charged Polanco and Jason Kemp with robbing a grocery store on East 180th Street in 2015 and shooting at responding officers Andrew Dossi and Aliro Pellerano.
Both officers were hit. News 12 was told it took about a year for both officers to recover from their injuries.
Polanco was also sentenced to five years’ post-release supervision.
