A man was shot several times around 3:30 a.m. outside of JD's Sports Bar in Walkill, according to officials.

The victim was taken to Orange Regional Medical Center for treatment but there is no word yet on his condition or what led up to the shooting.

Police were investigating this morning by closing off a perimeter in the parking lot and collecting evidence.

Many businesses at the Wallkill Shopping Center said they were unaware of the violence that happened overnight.

Business owners say JD's Sports Bar is busy Friday and Saturday nights, but they’ve never heard of violence breaking out there in the past.

There is no word yet on if any arrests have been made.
