Health officials are warning of possible measles exposure in Orange and Putnam counties.
They say two European tourists who visited the area earlier this month may have exposed people to measles.
Officials say the tourists visited three Jehovah's Witness facilities. One was the Watchtower World Headquarters in Tuxedo Park on April 16, and the other was the Watchtower Educational Center in Patterson a day later. The third location is in Brooklyn.
Officials want anyone who may have been exposed and who has symptoms to contact a health care provider before seeking treatment, in order to minimize exposure.
Some symptoms of measles include fever, rash, cough, conjunctivitis or runny nose. They usually appear about 10 to 12 days after exposure.
