Humble League holds basketball tournament for community kids

A local organization is hosting an annual basketball tournament to help children in the community.
The Humble League is trying to help young people who otherwise may not have access to extracurricular activities.
The event took place at the gym inside the Boys and Girls High School in Bed-Stuy.
Organizers of the event say they are looking to recreate similar programs from years ago.
“When I was younger, we had Jackie Robinson High Energy,” said Dwan McMillan, CEO of the Humble League. “Those programs are now nonexistent and I just want to revisit that and give the kids some of the experiences of my childhood when I had fun.”
Free haircuts were also available for anyone attending the game.
The Humble League will continue to host the basketball tournament through June.
