Closing arguments delivered in doctor's prescription pill death trial

Closing arguments were delivered Monday in the trial of a Merrick doctor accused of causing the deaths of two of his patients.
Federal prosecutors say Michael Belfiore, of Westbury, made thousands of dollars by selling opioid prescriptions.
Two patients died after overdosing on oxycodone in 2013.
Belfiore's attorney blames the drugmakers, insisting that they promised their products are safe to prescribe.
If convicted, Belfiore faces 20 years to life in prison.
