WASHINGTON -

The nation is mourning the loss of our brave men and women who have died in the line of duty today.

President Donald Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions are among those taking part in the annual National Peace Officers' Memorial Service today in Washington, D.C.

They're paying tribute to the local, state and federal law enforcement officers killed on the job.

A wreath laying is also taking place as flags across the country are flying at half-staff for today's "Peace Officers Memorial Day."
