Experts: Dead humpback whale in Long Beach was hit by boat

Experts say they believe they know what happened to a dead humpback whale that washed ashore in Long Beach.
Experts from the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society say the 32-foot humpback whale was most likely hit by a boat.
It came ashore Friday near Lafayette Boulevard.
A necropsy showed signs of bruising consistent with being struck by a vessel.
The death of the whale was the third reported in New York State this year.
