Bear turns up in tree in CVS parking lot

A black bear was spotted in a tree in Glen Rock Sunday.
Police say the bear, estimated to be about 1 or 2 years old, was seen in tree of a CVS parking lot around 11 a.m.
A fence on a residential property blocked the bear from coming down to where a crowd had gathered.
Smoke from a flare was used to keep the bear in the tree until Fish and Wildlife officials arrived.
Last month a separate black bear was spotted just a few miles away in Ridgewood. It was tranquilized after two days of roaming the area.
