A group of young Brownsville students visited the Borough Hall Greenmarket Tuesday for a lesson on healthy eating from Borough President Eric Adams.
"Plants grow when you plant seeds," Adams said. "I am planting the seeds of health in them so they can start growing up to be productive, healthy adults."
The borough president toured the market with students from P.S. 327, teaching them about fruits, vegetables and nutrition.
The goal is to introduce the kids to new foods at the market that they'll want to try again at home -- and students asked their teachers for recipes they could bring home to their moms.
