Trash-hauler gets prison time after $2M scamPosted: Updated:
A former trash-hauling boss is headed to prison after admitting he ripped off customers in Westchester.
Stephen DiSalvo, 60, was sentenced to three to six years behind bars after pleading guilty last year.
Officials say he scammed customers out of more than $2 million by manipulating dump tickets at a garbage collecting business based in Briarcliff Manor.
DiSalvo and his co-conspirator were also ordered to pay their victims' restitution.
