Newburgh man is convicted of murder in 2017 fatal shooting

NEWBURGH -

A 26-year-old man is now facing life in prison for a deadly shooting in Newburgh.

Omarrio Morrison now convicted of murder for his role in a botched robbery where he recruited his friends and supplied them with guns.

Police say 21-year-old Dejoire Fox and 17-year-old Tyrees Canigan have already pleaded guilty to murder.

The 63-year-old victim was shot in the head in this own apartment on Chambers Street, last June.
