Rash of threats continues in Hartsdale

Posted: Updated:

A rash of threats via social media struck a school in Hartsdale today.

Teachers, parents and students are on high alert at Woodlands Middle/High School after a threat was discovered on Snapchat.

The nature of the threat has not been released.

School officials say they have identified the sender of the threat as a Woodlands Middle/High School student and are taking disciplinary measures.

In a letter to parents, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Tahira A. DuPree Chase says, “In addition to the disciplinary measures, the District has added additional safety and security measures at Woodlands Middle High School. The Greenburgh Police Department has issued [an] additional patrol of the Warburg campus.”

She goes on to say the threat doesn’t appear to have any connection to the recent threats in New Rochelle, Yonkers, and Somers.
