Mt. Carmel Church is hosting its 112th St. Anthony's Festival.
The festivities are held in honor of St. Anthony of Padua -- the patron saint of lost souls and lost things.
Local businesses were out to celebrate the feast as well.
"We're in a neighborhood that if you don't do something special, you shouldn't be here," said David Greco of Mike's Deli. "And right now we have a lot of merchants out here that care about Father John and the church, and right now everybody's trying their best to make a great impression and have something fun."
Thousands are expected to attend the event, which runs through Sunday.
