A group of women were attacked by two pit bulls in the Bronx.
The incident happened Sunday on Pelham Parkway and Lurting Avenue just before 11 p.m.
Five women who range from ages 12 to 48 years old, were bitten or scratched by the dogs after they broke free from their restraints.
Two women who were walking the dogs passed a group of women who were walking.
All of the women were transported to Jacobi Medical Center where they were treated for injuries that are not life-threatening, according to police.
The dogs were turned over to animal control and the owners were given a summons.
