Father’s Day Barbecue raises money for ALS

Dozens of people in Northern Westchester celebrated dad on Sunday, and it was all for a good cause.
There was live music at the second annual Father’s Day Barbecue at the South Salem Fire House. The event also featured good food from local businesses.
Organizers say the barbecue raised money for ALS research. "Fourteen years ago, on Father's Day morning, I lost my dad to ALS. So I knew I wanted to give back to the ALS community and do something that would worth it--not worth his passing, but do something to honor his name, his legacy, my family and the community," says event organizer Michael Harris.
