Dump truck driver loses control, rolls backward through home

Fire officials say the driver of a dump truck that rolled backward through a home in Hawthorne is lucky to be alive.
Hawthorne Fire Chief Joseph Speranza says if the house had not been there, the dump truck would have gone over a drop-off.

Homeowner Vincent Colonnelli says he was in the backyard when he heard the crash.
When he went out into the front yard, he saw the smoke and the dump truck.
No one was inside the home during the crash.
No injuries have been reported.
Hawthorne emergency services were on scene.
