Students at the Gregory Jackson School in Brownsville were given free bicycles for winning an anti-bullying challenge.
The school started its "Stop the Violence and Bullying" challenge a couple of months ago. The goal was to remind student of the school motto of "integrity, generosity, success."
Combining that message with the NYPD's anti -violence prevention, students had to attend class and exhibit good character traits that included no bullying and show that they care about their community. After that, the teachers gave in the names, and the school says pretty much all the students made the grade.
The students also got free helmets that were fitted for them by the city of Department of Transportation.
