Report: Venditto asks Oyster Bay to cover legal costs

Former Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto is asking the town to pay some of his legal bills.
Newsday reports that Venditto's attorney Marc Agnifilo requested that the town cover Venditto's legal costs in civil litigation brought against him by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Venditto was acquitted of federal corruption charges last month.
He is still facing the SEC litigation, as well as criminal charges in an unrelated state case.
An Oyster Bay Town spokesperson did not return News 12’s calls seeking comment.
