WHITE PLAINS -

A registered nurse who worked in the Hudson Valley is headed to jail for insurance fraud.

Collins Anyanwu-Mueller, 48, was sentenced to a year in prison on Monday after previously pleading guilty to fraudulently billing Medicaid for more than $390,000.

The payments were made for private nursing services Mueller did not provide to two severely disabled patients in New Rochelle and Pleasantville.

The resident of Seymour, Connecticut, has paid the state $25,000 of that money and has agreed to pay the remaining $367,954 in restitution owed.
